Learn how King's Tales works in Royal Match, including its level requirement, Energy Crystals, 12 tasks, bonus milestones, Grand Prize, and end-of-event rules.
By RoyalMatch.wiki Editorial Team
King's Tales is a limited-time solo event in Royal Match. You collect Energy Crystals through normal play and other eligible sources, then spend them to clear obstacles and complete tasks across an event map.
This guide covers the mechanics Dream Games currently documents. The active game's timer, map costs, offers, and reward previews remain the source of truth for a particular run.
King's Tales at a glance
Unlock requirement: level 76.
Format: solo, time-limited map event.
Main currency: Energy Crystals.
Main progress: clear obstacles and complete tasks.
Total tasks: 12.
Extra reward points: tasks 3, 6, and 9.
Completion: all 12 tasks unlock the Grand Prize and Special Name Style.
These rules were checked against Dream Games support on July 24, 2026.
How to enter
Reach level 76 and beat a level while King's Tales is active. The official Help Center says a level win starts Energy Crystal collection.
If the event does not appear:
Confirm the account has reached level 76.
Update Royal Match through the official app store.
Check that the event is active in the live rotation.
Beat a standard level.
Verify connectivity.
The event may simply be out of rotation. Its Help Center page documents the format, not a permanent always-on schedule.
How to get Energy Crystals
Dream Games currently lists:
Beating levels.
Rewards from other in-game events.
The Energy Shop.
In-event offers.
Hard, Super Hard, and Extremely Hard levels award extra Energy Crystals under the current rules.
Always preview a reward before spending resources. An event elsewhere in the game may award Energy Crystals during one rotation and something different later.
How the event map works
Spend Energy Crystals to clear obstacles and reveal or reach items needed by the current task. Each completed task advances the map.
There are 12 tasks in total. The official rules identify extra rewards at:
Task 3.
Task 6.
Task 9.
Completing task 12 finishes the event and makes the Grand Prize and Special Name Style available.
The live map determines the obstacle path and Energy Crystal cost. RoyalMatch.wiki does not publish guessed cost tables from screenshots because a different run or update may not match them.
Planning Energy Crystal spending
Follow the current task
Prioritize obstacles that visibly lead toward the active objective. Clearing unrelated map space may consume energy without advancing the task.
Inspect before tapping
Zoom or review the visible map and identify connected paths. A moment of planning is especially valuable near a milestone.
Use the timer as a resource
Estimate whether the next task is reachable with the time and Energy Crystals left. Avoid making a last-minute purchase based only on sunk cost.
Value level resources separately
Coins and boosters used to win levels have value outside King's Tales. Compare the next event reward with the likely cost of forcing difficult levels.
For board strategy, see How to Beat Hard Levels.
Special Name Style
Completing all 12 tasks awards the event's Special Name Style under the current documented rules.
Dream Games says that this style customizes your name and appears on screens where your name is shown. It is a completion cosmetic, separate from the intermediate rewards at tasks 3, 6, and 9.
What happens when King's Tales ends?
The official page describes a final chance to use remaining Energy Crystals and find items.
It also warns that if you quit King's Tales at that point:
Remaining Energy Crystals are lost.
Current event progress is lost.
Do not close that final flow casually. Read the on-screen message, spend any usable currency intentionally, and complete all possible claims before leaving.
Efficient play checklist
Confirm the live end time.
Beat levels normally to earn Energy Crystals.
Favor clearable hard levels when the extra currency is worth the risk.
Review the active task before clearing an obstacle.
Track the reward checkpoints at tasks 3, 6, and 9.
Reassess before using coins or boosters solely for event currency.
Use the final-chance screen before quitting.
