By RoyalMatch.wiki Editorial Team
Royal Match currently documents three major Team event formats: Team Battle, Team Treasure, and Team Tournament. All reward level wins and group contribution, but their goals and eligibility rules are not interchangeable.
Read the live event panel before playing. Start times, end times, reward contents, and the active event can change.
Team event comparison
Event: Team Battle · Format: Compete with 19 other Teams · Progress item: Shields · Main team goal: Rank by total Team shields
Event: Team Treasure · Format: Cooperative, 3-step track · Progress item: Ship wheels · Main team goal: Open chests from combined progress
Event: Team Tournament · Format: Compete with 19 other Teams · Progress item: Tokens converted to lances · Main team goal: Rank by total Team lances
All three currently require level 23, Team membership, an internet connection, and a qualifying contribution for rewards.
Team Battle and Team Tournament additionally require the Team to have at least 10 members.
Team Battle
In Team Battle, a Team competes against 19 other Teams.
Current official rules:
Beat levels to collect shields.
Hard, Super Hard, and Extremely Hard levels award extra shields.
Team rank uses the total shields collected by all members.
The top five Teams receive rank-based rewards.
Eligible members of the same Team receive the same Team reward.
The top three contributors receive additional rewards.
Shields do not carry into a future Team Battle.
Entry and reward eligibility
You need to:
Reach level 23.
Be in a Team with at least 10 members.
Have an active connection.
Enter after you or a teammate beats a level.
Beat at least one level yourself to qualify for a reward.
If you leave or are removed after entering, the official rules say you cannot rejoin the ongoing Team Battle. Shields attributed to the Team you left are deleted from its score.
Team Treasure
Team Treasure is cooperative rather than a race against 19 Teams.
Current structure:
Three steps.
A ship-wheel goal and reward at each step.
Ship wheels earned by beating levels.
Extra ship wheels from Hard, Super Hard, and Extremely Hard levels.
Chests opened through total Team contribution.
Members claim their rewards individually.
The top three contributors earn additional rewards at the end.
Ship wheels do not transfer to the next Team Treasure.
Entry and reward eligibility
You need level 23, Team membership, an internet connection, and a contribution.
The official page says you cannot earn a Team Treasure reward without contributing to the Team's total ship wheels.
If you have already claimed a reward and change Teams, you cannot contribute to Team Treasure for any Team during the same event. Previously earned ship wheels remain in the former Team's total under the current rules.
Team Tournament
Team Tournament is another 20-Team competition, but its scoring has an extra conversion step.
Current rules:
Beat levels to collect tokens.
Reach the first event step to convert tokens into lances.
Team rank uses total lances.
Hard, Super Hard, and Extremely Hard levels award extra tokens.
The top five Teams receive rank-based rewards.
The top three individual contributors receive additional rewards.
Personal steps can award Knight and Grand Knight titles.
Titles remain visible until the next Team Tournament begins.
Tokens and lances do not carry into the next Tournament.
Entry and reward eligibility
You need level 23, a Team with at least 10 members, an internet connection, and entry triggered by a Team member's level win.
For rewards, simply holding tokens is not enough. The official article says you must reach the first step so the tokens become lances and contribute to the Team score.
Leaving or being kicked during the event prevents participation in another Team's ongoing Tournament.
The most important rule: contribute
Team membership alone does not guarantee rewards.
Team Battle requires at least one level win.
Team Treasure requires a contribution of ship wheels.
Team Tournament requires lances contributed after the first conversion step.
Open the contribution tab and verify your score before the event ends. If it appears wrong, capture the event screen, member contribution screen, and time remaining before contacting support.
Changing Teams during an event
Team switching is high risk during all three formats.
Depending on the event, switching can:
Prevent re-entry.
Prevent contribution to either Team.
Remove prior score from the Team total.
Leave prior contribution with the former Team.
Make you ineligible for rewards.
If you intend to leave, wait until the event and its claim flow are fully over unless there is a safety or moderation reason to exit immediately.

Contribution strategy
Choose consistency over forced spending
Reliable level wins contribute more safely than spending heavily on repeated failed attempts.
Check the conversion step
In Team Tournament, confirm tokens became lances. Unconverted tokens do not satisfy the documented reward requirement.
Coordinate expectations
A Team description can state whether the group is relaxed or competitive. Leaders should avoid inventing official reward promises or asking members to share private information.
Watch Team size before entry
Battle and Tournament require at least 10 members. Review the roster before the event is triggered.
Claim individual rewards
Team Treasure rewards are claimed individually. Do not assume another member's claim collects yours.
Frequently asked questions
What level unlocks Team events?
Team Battle, Team Treasure, and Team Tournament currently require level 23.
How many members does a Team need?
Team Battle and Team Tournament currently require at least 10 members. The Team Treasure page requires Team membership but does not state that same 10-member minimum.
Which Team events compete against other Teams?
Team Battle and Team Tournament each compare your Team with 19 others. Team Treasure is a shared three-step chest track.
Do event items carry over?
No. The official pages say shields, ship wheels, tokens, and lances do not transfer to the next occurrence.
Why did I not get a reward?
Common documented reasons include failing to contribute, missing the first Tournament conversion step, or the Team not reaching a rewarded rank. Check the exact event's eligibility section.
Can I switch Teams mid-event?
The official restrictions can block re-entry or contribution after switching. Treat an active Team event as locked to the Team where you entered.
