Royal Match Teams Guide: Joining, Roles, Lives, and Events
Learn when Royal Match Teams unlock, how joining and creating work, what leaders and co-leaders can do, and how Team help connects to events and cards.
By RoyalMatch.wiki Editorial Team
Teams add cooperation to Royal Match. Members can communicate, help with lives, respond to card requests, and contribute together in team events.
You do not need a Team to understand the core match-3 levels, but an active and well-matched group provides useful social and reward systems after the feature unlocks.
When Teams unlock
The official Help Center says you need to beat level 20 before you can join or create a Team.
After that milestone:
Suggested Teams appear on the Teams tab.
You can search for a Team by name.
You can join a Team that accepts your account under its current settings.
You can create a Team if you are not already in one.
Team event eligibility starts later. Several major team events currently require level 23.
How to choose a Team
Look for:
Recent member activity.
A description whose language and play expectations fit you.
Enough members for team events.
Consistent life help.
Respectful communication.
Event goals you can realistically support.
A very competitive Team is not automatically “better” if its contribution requirements exceed how often you want to play. A relaxed Team is not automatically inactive. Read the description and observe the member list before deciding.
Read a Team's description and recent activity before joining.
Joining and leaving
To join:
Beat level 20.
Open the Teams tab.
Browse available groups or search for a name.
Follow the Team's join flow.
The official Team section says you can leave from Settings using Leave Team.
Check active events first
Leaving or changing Teams during a team event can affect participation and rewards. For example:
Team Battle restricts re-entry after leaving or being removed.
Team Tournament similarly prevents switching into another Team's ongoing tournament.
Team Treasure has contribution and reward rules tied to the Team where progress was made.
Read the active event's information screen before moving. The Team Events guide compares the current rules.
Creating a Team
If you are already in a Team, the official guide says you must leave it before creating another.
A creator should decide:
Team name and description.
Logo.
Join requirements and language.
Competitive or casual expectations.
How inactivity will be handled.
Who should become co-leaders.
Do not put private contact details in the description. Team chat and profile information should be treated as visible to other members.
Leaders and co-leaders
The Team management help pages distinguish:
Leader: Owns the highest level of Team management and can appoint or remove co-leaders.
Co-leader: Can help manage membership and Team presentation under the available controls.
Member: Participates, chats, helps, and contributes to eligible events.
Leaders and co-leaders can edit Team information and remove members. Only the leader can add or remove co-leaders according to the current official guide.
Healthy moderation
Good Team management is predictable:
Publish activity expectations in the description.
Apply the same rule consistently.
Avoid removing a contributor immediately before a reward without a clear reason.
Keep chat respectful.
Use the in-game reporting path for violations.
These are community-management recommendations, not rules imposed by RoyalMatch.wiki.
Giving and requesting lives
When a teammate has an active life request:
The Teams tab shows a notification.
Members see a Help action.
Tapping it contributes to the request.
The Helps count tracks how many times a player has assisted teammates.
The official Lives guide says a player cannot request lives while holding more than 10 free lives. More details are in the Royal Match Lives Guide.
Card requests and sending
Collection unlocks at level 41. Eligible cards can then be shared through Team and friend systems.
Current official rules include:
One teammate card request per day.
A request appears in Team chat.
Eligible teammates can respond through the Send action.
Sending requested cards counts toward the daily sending limit.
Silver cards can be sent; Gold and Diamond cards cannot currently be sent.
See Card Packs, Duplicates, and Trading for the complete flow.
Team events
Three major team formats currently documented are:
Team Battle
Your Team competes against 19 other Teams by collecting Shields from level wins. A Team needs at least 10 members to participate. Team rank and personal contribution both matter.
Team Tournament
Your Team competes against 19 others, converting event progress into Lances. The feature includes contribution titles and ranking rewards.
Team Treasure
Members collect Ship Wheels toward three shared steps. Each eligible member claims the step reward individually, and top contributors can receive an additional reward.
Event availability changes, and one format should not be described as following a fixed weekly schedule without an official current source.
How to contribute effectively
Join the event early enough to understand its rules.
Make at least the required qualifying contribution.
Claim step rewards before the event closes.
Communicate if the Team uses a contribution target.
Do not change Teams mid-event without checking the consequence.
Save high-energy play sessions for periods when several events overlap.
Give lives and cards when you can do so without blocking your own goals.
